Dragonfly Strategists Appoints R. Scott Helsel as Chief Operating Officer
Thursday, June 22, 2023 – Dragonfly Strategists, the hospitality industry’s leading boutique advisory and services firm, announced today that R. Scott (Scott) Helsel has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.
Scott will be responsible for the daily operations of Dragonfly, including finance, human resources, project management, and employee development. Scott will also manage the comprehensive Projects & Implementations advisory practice. He is dedicated to execute the vision of Dragonfly throughout the organization and industry. Finally, Scott will lead the inaugural launch of Dragonfly’s Learning & Development Advisory in 2024.

Scott brings more than 30 years’ experience in various facets of the travel industry, project and account management, program design, training, employee development, operations management, and customer service. Prior to joining Dragonfly, Scott held progressive levels of responsibility with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and was a lead producer in its Learning & Development division for nearly 10 years. Previously, he held roles at other high-end firms where he was responsible for complex project migrations, leading teams, as well as developing and launching training curriculums. He worked for many years in the travel industry for American Airlines and Pegasus Solutions.
